While some of these may not be considered an ~essential~ for you, these are common items noted during a "SHIT... you know what I forgot to bring?" moment. Luckily, there's enough PLUR going around to lend you a piece of gum when you ask some smiley strangers. Of course, what you fill your trusty fanny pack with depends on what kind of partier you are and where you want your night to take you. Having your complete rave kit means you're ready for the best and the worst.
Obviously. It's vital for finding your friends when you can find cell service, capturing your favorite songs, selfies, snapchats, lighting up the ground when you lose an earring, and (when you really need it the most) emergencies. Screenshot any necessary information, such as tickets or a map before you arrive at the venue to ensure it's there even when service is spotty. Many festival pros will set a screenshot of the set list as their background so they always have it handy.
For purchases that don't accept cards. Keep it someplace you won't lose it, preferably a pocket or secret compartment you're not constantly digging in. You never know when you'll lose your wallet or need emergency cab fare.
3) WATER BOTTLE / HYDRATION BACKPACK
Some festivals don't allow you to bring in your own water bottles and some venues don't allow hydration backpacks. Check ahead to make sure you're not stuck at the door after you Uber to a location with your forbidden items. Hydration is the most important part of a safe and fun festival experience, so this war on containers is mostly a hassle. Buy a water bottle when you can and keep it around for refills if necessary.
4) LIP BALM / LIPSTICK
Chapped lips can really take away from a fun night out. It's silly, but sometimes you have to sneak these into festivals if they're not factory sealed.
Have you heard of tinnitus? It's a constant ringing in your ears that can be caused by those massive speakers your squad likes to park next to. I suggest you look it up, get scared, and pack a few pairs for yourself and friends.
6) PORTABLE CHARGER + PHONE WIRE
You've been snapchatting all night and your phone is down to the last 10%. The event is nowhere near over, but you need to call a Lyft later. Portable chargers make sure your phone can keep up. And they're damn near useless without your phone wire.
Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who has the mintiest fresh breath of them all? You.
Sometimes opened packs of gum aren't allowed inside venues, so be sure to bring them in some kind of stash bag or diversion safe, like our SneaKey Fob.
Depending on what festival you're at, things can get dusty. A bandana can protect your lungs from inhaling dust, wipe sweat off your forehead, or hold a dash of your favorite essential oil.
9) HAIR TIE
Long hair might care if it's hot and you're dancing. Keep those luscious locks tucked back if needed.
10) VICKS VAPORUB
Ya know, because it smells better than that weird guy's B.O.
Some venues don't allow this in because it "furthers rave culture." If this is the case, be sure to use a small stash box or stash can, like our fake key fob
